Dock Rotz Tavern: A Casual Pub Experience in Minooka, IL

Absolutely amazing experience. We came here for New Year’s Eve got seated right away & ordered a salad pasta & burger. Everything was delicious. We ordered a family size of French onion soup to take home. We got home & it spilled everywhere. I called just to see if they would be willing to give me another one & without hesitation they replaced it NO CHARGE. Thank you Doc Rotz staff. Happy New Years!

Finally made it in to try since moving to the area. Got there right as they opened on a Saturday morning. Nobody in the restaurant besides us so the service was fantastic. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. I had been wanting a burger and the BBQ bacon burger hit the spot. Thick juicy patty and the toppings (lettuce, tomato and pickle) were all fresh and crispy. Drinks were kept full and service was fantastic. I'm really surprised at how big the place is once you're inside but it doesn't feel cramped up or seem like there's too many tables. The only complaint, and it's a minor one and the reason for 4 stars on atmosphere.....the floor was sticky and I could hear my shoes sticking as I walked. Don't know if there was a spill that just needed some extra attention or what but the rest of the establishment didn't seem dirty or unkempt. Everything looked clean and up to date. Not an issue that would stop me from returning but was the only reason I dropped it to 4 stars instead of 5 overall.

Good spot to grab a drink or two with friends or when you're out for a date night. I am giving 4 stars to their margarita flight where you can pick n choose 4 flavors out of many , my favorite flavors are pomegranate, raspberry, lemon but if you like sweet flavors then you should try their orange, mango and coconut pineapple. I ordered shrimp tacos ,I liked the spicy fried shrimps on top but the coleslaw in it had a weird test so I only ate the shrimp and left the rest of the food . My husband liked their burger. Prices are fair. Margarita flight was $11 ( 4 frozen margaritas ) and shrimp tacos were $12 (3 tacos with a side of your choice ) Service part was good ,Jordan helped us , she was friendly and sweet.

I’ve only patronized this bar/restaurant a few times in the past few years and today was my best visit yet! Pulled in while commuting home from Oswego (to Wilmington) to take a break. So glad I did! The server was very kind & friendly. The two craft brews, this place usually tends to have a good tap list, were good and tasted fresh. Normally I never order food but chose to today and it was great! Will definitely order food with my couple brews on my future stops!

We have always had a great food dining in and regularly we order takeout. Their cream of chicken and rice soup is out of this world. Blake was an amazing server when we dined in. We eat here regularly, and will continue to do so!

You can't go wrong with this local restaurant. Really good burgers and sandwiches. Wonderful staff. Cute decor. Nice outdoor eating area weather permitting.

You dont expect to get good pasta at a local tavern. Mostly bars will put it on the menu to please certain patrons in a group. But the pasta dishes they have on the menu rival any Italian restaurant. The creamy garlic tortellini was fire and the titos vodka penne was one of the best ive had. Burgers were amazing too. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend this place enough. I’m from KY and was traveling through. We ordered a little bit of everything and all of it was so good. We sat on the patio and absolutely loved the whole meal.
